Uchiage Hanabi also became one of Japan's most popular films over the summer and has been sitting in the third position on Japan's box office chart in the first week of the film's release. The film gained US $ 12.8 million (equivalent to Rp 130 billion) per August 2017.
The theme song of this film titled Uchiage Hanabi sung by Daoko and Kenshi Yonezu follow the popularity of this film by winning for 2 weeks on Billboard Japan Hot 100, 7 consecutive weeks on Billboard Japan Hot Animation, and 5 weeks in iTunes Japan Chart.
The song has also gained 48.5 million views on YouTube in just one and a half months after the video clips were released and made this song the fourth Japanese song to get a viewing number of over 35 million within a month after Radwimps with Zenzenzense, Gen Hoshino with Koi , and Pikotaro with PPAP.
The song also earned 1.5 million streams on Spotify and became the fastest Japanese song that managed to get 1 million streams after One OK Rock. Uchiage Hananbi also beat Ed Sheeran Shape of You for ten days on Japan Daily Top Tracks chart at Spotify.
