electronic cigarette prohibited on pain of fine and imprisonment

A press release issued by the Tourism Authority of Thailand in late September 2017 recalls that e-cigarettes are illegal in the kingdom.
It is therefore advisable to inform your customers about this ban put in place in 2014 by the Thai government.
Travelers are advised not to bring electronic cigarettes, or items or equipment associated with electronic cigarettes; such as, the liquid used in the device.
Anyone who violates this law "using an electronic cigarette – or vaping – in Thailand" could be arrested and face a jail sentence or a hefty fine. This law applies to both foreigners and Thais.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand also advises tourism professionals: tour operators and travel agencies to ensure that their customers are aware of this prohibition.
Hervé Papin, commercial director of Asia Infiny also made a reminder on Friday, November 3, 2017 on social networks to educate travel agents.
