In 11 cities there will be special "tags", when hovering on which smartphone or tablet user will open a store with virtual goods in key categories – electronics, clothing and children's products, according to a press release. Today the launch will take place in Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Chelyabinsk and Novosibirsk. In the next two days, points will be launched in Central Russia – in Ufa, Samara, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg and Moscow. "Tags" will be located both in shopping centers and on the street. In total, the company plans to place 121 tags. "We are launching a full-fledged virtual store in Russia for the first time. Cities of Siberia and the Urals: Omsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk – will be the first where we will launch it. Next, until November 6, seven more will be launched – in central and southern Russia, including Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg and Moscow. Everyone who makes a purchase during this period will get a chance to receive a gift of 650,000 rubles – before that the project was tested last year only in China, "said Mark Zavadsky, AliExpress Business Development Director in Russia and CIS countries. The stores are built on the basis of the Fibrum platform, the Skolkovo resident. The user on the smartphone will open the image of a real offline store with storefronts and shelves. They will be placed goods that can be "taken", twisted from all sides, see the price and buy. The stores are launched in a test mode, the company will review the results of the experiment and decide on the expediency of its continuation. It is noted that the cost of opening and maintaining such stores is several times less than the usual points of sale. In this virtual store can be placed in the most passable places of the city – from parks to cafes, and do not become attached to shopping centers or any objects. The company count on the interest of buyers at the expense of such an unusual proposal: a specially selected assortment of goods and an unusual way of making purchases.
